My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NIPPY is a 7 year old neutered yellow male Lab that weighs 75 pounds. He is a very handsome boy! He is house trained and doesn't need or like being crated. He does fine with free reign of the house. Nippy loves to run around and play outside. He needs to go to a home with a fenced in yard. Nippy knows the commands: sit, come and down. He does best with an Easy Walk Harness for walks. Nippy is good with both small and big dogs. No cat history. Note: must go to a home with a fenced in yard as he will not always go to the bathroom on leash. Nippy is approved for kids ages 10+.

From evaluator: Nippy is a very handsome boy with a sleek coat. He is a very affectionate him. He laid on his side for pets and gave me kisses. Nippy is excited when he first sees people but quickly calms down. He needs and enjoys regular exercise. He will probably do best in a home where his people were not gone for a full work day everyday.

Update (8/23): Nippy just moved to a new foster home and he is doing great! Nippy is just settling in the 24 hours that we have had him. His name should be Jolly or Happy rather then Nippy because his tail never stops wagging and he has a happy smile. I do not think he would mind a name change at all! He has great manners and waits to sit and for the ok to eat and takes treats and medicine (in pill pockets). He loves tennis balls, Jolly balls, tug toys, he is not picky! He likes the cat toys too. He passed the cat test! Yes, he is very interested and lots of tail wags and would do fine with a dog savvy cat. He rides well in a car, jumps in and lays down to nap for the trip. Nippy does not need to be crated but I always crate my fosters at night and he did fabulous! Not a peep.

Update (8/14): Hi! My name is Nippy! I'd like to share a few things about myself......I like to chase tennis balls and bring them back! I like to take naps! I like to be near my humans, but I'm not clingy. I like to have my belly rubbed. I like to hear the words "good boy". I know how to sit, stay, lay down, and come when called. I am house trained and I don't mind a crate, but I don't really need it. I like to snuggle at night and will sleep until you are ready to get up. Oh, I don't mind other dogs either! If this sounds good to you.....contact your AC today!!!! Nippy loves to fetch see it here on youtube: https://youtu.be/M8r9UISgAdE

Update (8/13): Nippy is such a smart and cute guy! He does very well with his commands and is just such a great pup! See him showing off his skills on youtube here: http://youtu.be/gwPnK1eLKD8

Update (8/8) Nippy is gentle and such a sweet dog! He and the cat sniffed each other and then he walked away. He met the resident chihuahua and was good with him, too. He didn't waste much time finding a comfy bed to rest. He's a great dog.
