Remus's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Remus's Story...
Hi, my name is Remus and I am believed to be a Heeler mixed boy. Since my fur is golden/red, I'm listed as a Red Heeler. The volunteers here think I might have some Labrador or Shepherd in me. As with any rescue it is just a guess.

I was found wandering around town and the good people here at the shelter searched for my family, posting notices online; however, no one came forward :(

I am a very very friendly guy, full of energy and love to go for walks. I get along great with other dogs and love attention from people. What I really want it a forever family that will give me the love and attention I know I deserve.

Remus resides at a rescue organization in Arkansas. Please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to www.Gailspets.org and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. The application, when completed and submitted, will be electronically sent to Gail’s email address.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remus, a Oakland Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
