Tippy's Story...
Take a good look at Tippy. She's a sweet 3 year old Boxer/Bulldog mix that arrived from another facility so her history is not known. She's a gentle and quiet girl that is just hoping someone notices her and takes her home. Tip has been the perfect lady at the shelter and will definitely warm her way into your heart. Don't wait too long. Tippy is definitely a keeper!

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tippy, a Elyria Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
