Violet is such a sweetheart and the smallest of the litter weighing about 21lbs now.. She is so friendly and affectionate. She is going to be such a great companion with the right family. She already loves kids and she also loves to play. The best home would have a secure fenced in yard and couch privileges. She has already done well with leash training too.
PUPDATE 9-1-2015: The puppies had their first vet exam and vaccination and they are doing very well- nice strong hearts and growing like weeds.

RAINBOWS VIDEO
We heard about Rainbow and her 7 puppies in early late June. They were in danger of being put to sleep in an over crowded shelter near Birmingham, Alabama. By the time a care taker was found for them- 3 of the puppies had died. Rainbow was emaciated full of heartworms and other intestinal parasites, suffering from mange and we are sure several tick borne diseases. As soon as she started on antibiotics her nursing puppies started to get stronger. Sadly they are also going to be infected and some are also dealing with the immuno compromising mange- but are also doing so much better now that they are taking oral meds as well.
We know that Rainbow has had a round life. She is timid, and as she does not play with her puppies, must have had a very sad and scary puppyhood. She is very trusting of her new foster mom and in time and with a lot of TLC- she will learn that there are more kind people out there then evil ones. We need a loving caring patient foster or foster to adopt family for her as she is currently in our heartworm slow kill treatment program. Our dogs do so much better with this treatment plan which just consists of twice a month heartguard and antibiotics to weaken the adult worms and also to treat the tick borne infections. With her immune system getting stronger- her mange is slowly clearing up. When you look at her videos- you can see the sadness in her eyes but we hope to get her smiling soon.
