Burton's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Burton's Story...
Burton is available for pre-adoption. He is in his foster home with his mother (a standard schnauzer mix) and siblings. We have no idea what his father was so our best guess on size is based on his mom and she is around 40lbs. He came to us at 5 days old and has been handled by adults and children. He is well socialized. He will be available in approximately 3 weeks (he is 4weeks on Aug.13). The last picture is a picture of his mom when they were just days old. If you would like more information about him please email barkandrollrescuecompanions@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $225 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, neuter, microchip and vet exam. Please go and like our Facebook page to stay up to date on our newest rescue arrivals: https://www.facebook.com/barkandroll

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Burton, a Baton Rouge Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
