Eros's Story...
Hi there, my name is Eros and boy do I have a tale to share and sadly it isn't a nice one. You see, I had a home at one point and time and the next thing I know I am on my own. No one to love, no one by my side, and all alone in the wild. I wanted to be with people though, I was tried of the mosquito larvae water I was drinking and some scraps here and there to eat. I started venturing out into the streets hoping I would find someone who would take me home. The next thing I knew, there was a bright light and then I was lying on the road, badly hurt. I thought this might be it, that I will leave this world homeless. Then, I realized I wasn't yet ready to leave and I finally got up and ventured up to a park and was in so much pain but some wonderful people saw me and took me in and found rescue for me. They named me Eros, which they explained to me that my name is ancient greek for Love and the greek counterpart of the Roman god, Cupid. I was so worn out, I crashed out. Once I awoke there was food, water in front of me and I realized I was inside a house!! I was taken to the vet where they gave me antibiotics for my fever, my vaccinations, painkillers for the discomfort of the car accident, and a lot of mandatory bed rest. I have since improved greatly and almost back to normal. I am about 2 years old and get along with other dogs, cats, and older children. I am also already housebroken, and am now looking for my forever home. The one I was searching for when I was struck by a car, the one I have dreamt of since being on my own. If you think I could be your new best friend please fill out an adoption app at http://www.txpyrs.org/TGPRescue/Public/AppServlet?COMMAND=HOME

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eros, a Kyle Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Kyle, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Kyle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kyle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kyle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kyle paves the way for another one to be saved.
