Being tethered to a back yard for 3 years has got nothing on this very sweet, loveable, eager to please, and very jolly American Cocker Spaniel, Cooper. Although he’s learned to be independent, he thrives on learning new things, and loves simple things like tossing his toys up in the air, and rubbing his muzzle on the ground while doing circles, like Curly from The Three Stooges. Cooper does excellent with a leash on walks, is potty trained, and is crate trained. He’s not very interested in engaging/playing with other dogs, but does well around them and tolerates them… kind of like the quiet nerdy kid at the prom. A trainer evaluated him as independent and in-charge of his personal space, although with a little socialization and a set of boundaries/rules, he can be a really cool, happy sidekick who no doubt loves walks, and belly rubs. He does well around people on his terms, only. Again, a trainer and consistent socialization will earn you a wonderful, funny, and very beautiful companion.
If you are interested in meeting Cooper, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.
