Cleo's Story...
Gorgeous Cleo was rescued with her litter mates when they were dumped at the Memphis Bass Pro Shops in a cardboard box. They then made the journey to Pittsburgh, where they are looking for their forever homes!

Cleo is currently 10 months of age. She loves going for walks and playing with her toys. she prefers a home with no small children. She would love an active adopter who would take her hiking or biking. She is hoping to find a patient home who will teach her how to be a great dog! She currently lives with a cat and a senior Chihuahua. She likes most dogs that she meets.

If you would like to meet her, please go to our website to read about the adoption process and FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleo, a Pittsburgh American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
