Kali's Story...
"Hi, my name is Kali. I am a Whippet mix born approximately 10-27-14. I love bones that I can chew on. They taste so good! My foster family takes me for a walk and helps me play fetch. I know how to sit and lay down. At night and when my foster family is away, I stay in the kennel. I prefer the kennel to be covered. I am mostly potty trained when I am taken out often. Part of my Whippet mix must be from a heading bred because I like to try to herd little children, so I would do better in a new family with older children. I really like to play with children. I also struggle with cats - I think they are chew toys and toys to play with. I need a new home with no cats. I am a very loving and sweet girl who is hoping to find a wonderful new forever family!"

Kali has been vet checked, microchipped, spay, vaccinated (age appropriate), and dewormed. Call 507-451-4512 to meet her in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $200. (K&PH)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kali, a Owatonna Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Whippet dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet breeders who help with Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
