Daisy is a sweet, 16 pound Shih Tzu mix. She was found as a stray, so we don’t know exactly how old she is, but the veterinarian has estimated her age to be about 2 years old. Daisy can be real shy when first meeting strangers or being in a new setting. But when she gets to know you she is a playful, active dog who likes walks and playing with toys. She entertains herself by throwing her toys up in the air and then chasing or pouncing on them. Daisy gets along with her foster Shih Tzu brother and sister now, but at first they were not friends. As with strangers, it takes her a while to feel comfortable with new dogs as well. A family with older, well mannered children in a quiet home would be alright with her. Because she doesn’t do well with strangers, it would be best if the home doesn’t frequently have unfamiliar people coming and going. She loves running freely in the back yard while her foster parents do their gardening, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal. She is completely house trained and is very obedient. She rides well in the car and loves to go places and just be with her people. She will be a wonderful addition for the right family.
Daisy is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, is microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $370.00 plus $26.92 sales tax. Her foster parents would like her adoptive home to be within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and would like her new family to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September every year.
