Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gypsy Gem came from a kill shelter where she was turned in by her owner because she chased the chickens.
She is very sweet with people, kids and other dogs. She LOVES attention and likes to have people pet her. We are working on making her wait so other dogs can get some love too! She needs a little work on jumping up when she gets too excited but with her personality and her desire to please she is a fast learner. She needs a family to work one on one with her and she would be the star pupil of a training class. She so wants to be part of a family and find her forever home.
Name: Gypsy Gem
Age: Approx. 2 yrs. old as of November 2015
Gender: Female
Mix/Purebred: Purebred, long-coat
Housetrained: Yes
Crate trained: Does not like to be crated, does fine loose in the house
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Negative
Spayed/Neutered: Spayed
Micro chipped: Yes
Good with other dogs: Assessing
Good with cats: Probably not good with cats because of her chasing the chickens, which she totally denies by the way!!!
Good with children: Not tested with very young children but fine with all people thus far including older kids
She loves running and playing in the yard. She sleeps loose in the house now so she can be trusted inside. She is a great girl who has a beautiful long coat which is not too long and easy enough to care for. She takes treats with an extremely soft mouth and knows when to listen to her person. You could not ask for a better companion for taking walks, going to training class or agility or just hanging out at home.
