Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Audie, Dusty Paws' teddy bear dog. As near as we can guess, Audie may be part German Shepherd and part Malamute. He is about 65 lbs and estimated at between 4 and 6 years old. Visitors are attracted to his very sweet face and mild temperament.
Audie was a little shy when he first came into Dusty Paws foster care. He was un-neutered and appeared neglected, suffering from flea allergy. It will take a while for the fur on his back and tail to recover and thicken. He is a sensitive soul who may have been abused or yelled at in the past. However, he is emerging from his shyness shell and enjoying attention. In fact he has an endearing trait of offering you his paw to encourage you to keep petting him.
Audie seems very happy to be in a caring foster home and appears to be house trained. He is not a hyper dog, and is mature and calm inside the home. Inside and outside he doesn't chew or dig. He loves to romp around the yard with his foster buddy Otter. Audie has been good with any dog he has met. At a recent adoption event - his first - he seemed very pleased to meet all the dogs that came by. Also, he was easy to walk on leash and didn't seem bothered by traffic noises.
Audie is now neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped and is on flea medication. He is ready to find a permanent, loving home.
