My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake can't get you a great deal on auto insurance and he doesn't wear khakis but he is a total catch! He is a gorgeous 12-18 month old Basset hound/ blue tick beagle mix. He is approximately 46 pounds of short, stumpy cuteness! Jake greets new people and dog friends with enthusiasm and doesn't know the meaning of the word stranger. He has great manners with other dogs, make and female. He could probably live in a home with a large or scrappy cat that will remind him to mind his manners but he might like to chase a cat outdoors. Jake would enjoy an active dog friend to run around with and he likes to have something to do. He is working on his potty training and acclimating well to life in the house. Jake is an all-around catch!

Good on the leash
Great social skills- good with other dogs and meets new people with enthusiasm
Cats: Would chase an outside cat I suspect but could live with an inside cat that has no issue with putting him in his place.
Dog friends- Jake would like an active friend to run and rough house with I suspect.
Potty training- Learning. Neutering will likely help with this process and he is currently being treated for a bladder infection, which will be completed before adoption.
