Johnny Depp is a special little guy. While we don't know about his past life, we know he did not have it easy. Johnny came to us with some of the worst matted hair we have ever seen. One of his eyes was completely covered with hair, and the other eye was mostly covered. He had heavy lumps of hair weighing down his ears, and he could barely hear. We could see he had a friendly side to him, but he was weighed down when he walked and was very disoriented.
Well, that all changed once our amazing groomer got her hands on him! We were AMAZED at the transformation! We couldn't believe there was such a handsome dog under there!
But with years of neglect come trust issues. Johnny wants to trust people - he really does, but he needs a little time and space to warm up. A great home for him is one that doesn't have kids in and out constantly and understand that he needs a little time to trust people again.
Johnny Depp loves his crate - it is his little respite from the world. He is great with the dog and the cat in his foster home. And when children come into his foster home, his foster mom puts him right in his crate, and he is happy as can be. He walks great on a leash.
Johnny Depp is around 5 years old and weighs about 15 pounds..

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
