Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To start the adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. Please read. There are a lot of questions answered on our site and personality details below about each dog listed again only if folks read.
If the dogs are listed here then yes they are still available for adoption, They will stay listed until we find them the right homes with our adoption paperwork all finished. Thanks. Those marked pending home by their names are on a test drive in their new homes so see if they work out. Once they past their test drive only then we do mark them as adopted.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our pre-adoption form on the site above. You can also read about our adoption process, our requirements needed to adopt a hunting dog breed from us and our paperwork needed to adopt from our rescue. This is a short adoption process but please read first. Thanks so much.
There is an adoption fee of $300 for this dog. No phone calls or emails please. Please see our web site for more details om how we adopt BEFORE emailing.
Maxwell came to rescue through no fault or his own with his owner's major health issues. Now that we have him all neutered he is ready for his new people. This is not an abuse case and he is a very sweet, kind, mellow dog.
Max weighs 16 pounds so a tweenie sized boy. He likes people, laps and being a good boy. I have yet to find anything wrong with him.
He is only 7 so barely middles aged for a breed that lives 16" if kept trim and in shape. Most of our personal dogs live close to 18 years and some in the wiener dog club here are close to 20.
I will work on getting more photos of this amazingly handsome boy soon. Still testing on cats.
Sweet dogs who are liking people do not stay long at this rescue. If you want a kind longhair here is your boy. See direction above on how we adopt and sorry no apartments, townhouses or condo with shared walls. We do adopt to fenced yards in town or country homes so these dogs can run like they were bred to do.
