My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Tiger! I am a healthy, neutered 12 week old black male Labrador who is spunky and loves to play, especially tug of war. Guess what? I just learned to swim and I LOVE it! I will fetch a tennis ball in the pool over and over and over again. It's great exercise and makes me sleep through the night (according to my foster mommy). I have been with my foster family since I was 5 weeks old so they know me really well. I get along great with other dogs, as long as they don't mind me playfully gnawing on their back legs. I just want them to play with me! I probably wouldn't do well with an elderly dog since I have lots of energy. I'm a puppy after all! I am learning to go potty outside - it's a work in progress - and I walk very well on the leash and ride great in a car. My foster family has a doggy door so I've learned how to use that by watching my foster siblings but...I still have to learn to use it when I have to go potty. At this rate, it's just fun to go in and out of it! I don't quite know how I would do around kitty cats since my foster family doesn't have any.
My foster mommy says because I'm a puppy, my new forever home must have one adult at home during the day, preferably someone who works from home or is a stay at home Mom or Dad. My human foster sister is 7 years old and she plays with me and I'm great with her! However, I am a puppy that is learning boundaries so I sometimes play with my mouth (which my foster family is discouraging me to do) and my puppy teeth are sharp. My forever family should have children older than five years of age and be supervised at all times so I don't unintentionally play too rough with them. I will also need my training to continue so my forever family should be committed to training. Even though I may be spunky, I LOVE my quiet time and naps. I love to cuddle - many a night I have fallen asleep in the arms of my foster mommy and daddy as they softly stroke my back or kiss my head. Even though I would have every right to be based on my humble beginnings, I am not aloof. I know what love is - how to receive it and how to reciprocate it. I simply ask that my forever family return the same favor to me!
