Say hello to Miss Bella-Blue!! "Bella-Blue is a gorgeous, young female Pit Mix. She was found running loose and living on the streets in Sac. When she had been spotted, she was trembling and frightened beyond belief. Nobody could approach her let alone catch her, so Pit Crew Sac was contacted to help this sweet girl. As the temperatures soared she hid during the day and the locals made sure that she had water and food at all times. We slowly earned her trust and became a familiar voice and face that she eventually learned to trust. We went to see her day after day until one day when we were tossing her bits of of hotdog; she started to take them but remained very cautious and timid. After a few days of gaining her trust through treats, we sat down and she FINALLY came over and let us pet her. At that point it was evident that she has accepted us. We leashed her and took her into our rescue where she slowly blossomed into the amazing dog we know and love today.
Bella-Blue has clearly had training at some point in her life. When and with whom...we will never know. Why she was living on the streets for several months, we can only imagine. However, while living on the streets she did stay in one area and one area only, which leads us to believe she was either dumped there and waiting for her owner to come back OR her family moved and left her behind :( Whichever it may be, she will never feel that loneliness again and we will see to that. That is a promise.
Bella-Blue is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever known! She’s extremely playful, loves to have her belly rubbed and enjoys the company of other dogs. She is as smart as a whip and learns quickly too! She is fully crate trained and calmly sleeps in her crate at night and happily greets us with full body wags each morning. Bella-Blue has been with us for a few weeks now where she received her vaccinations and is being spayed next week. She is down-right amazing and anyone would be lucky to have her (BUT we won't let JUST anyone, of course)."
