Dinky is a 9 pound bundle of personality wrapped up in the body of what looks like a Chihuahua - MinPin mix. We believe he's about a year old. He's a happy, energetic, wiggly little boy with a great demeanor. He loves people and is great with kids and other dogs. He’s fascinated with cats and would like them to be his playmates! Dinky would love a home with a fenced-in backyard so he can zoom around. He loves to chase a ball (good luck getting it back!). He likes rawhide and chew toys to focus his energy on. All in all, he is a bundle of fun and sweetness who wins the hearts of everyone he meets!
Dinky is a very sociable guy and is not used to being left alone for long hours. His ideal family will have a person who is home a lot, or a person that takes him along when going out. He likes to be with people, likes attention, and likes to be held. He will make an awesome companion for someone who likes to spend a lot of time with their dog.
You can meet Dinky at his current foster home, Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd., during normal store hours (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com) Though you may want to take him home on the spot, please know you will first have to go through our normal application process.
Dinky's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, heartworm test (neg.), distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, deworming, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, microchip and neuter.
