My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Iris but my foster mom calls me Izzy I am a 5 - 6 year old female Schnauzer.

My story is one you probably have heard before. I was picked up on the streets of Columbus Ohio. I don't know how long I wandered around before they found me, but it felt like a long time. They took me to a building full of dogs that was very noisy and scary. Everyone was barking. Luckily for me, a nice lady from Cincinnati Schnauzer Rescue came and picked me up.

Since then, my entire life has changed. Now I'm living in Florence Kentucky with a nice foster family. I have a fur foster brother, and two kids. Boy those kids keep me busy. The first thing that happened, I was groomed. My hair was so long and matted, they found barbwire in it. I felt so much better after that.

I've gone to the doggy doctor and had my teeth cleaned. They are beautiful. I'm up-to-date on my shots. I'm heart worm negative and on preventative. And I have a microchip. I'm house trained and crate trained. In fact, I sleep in my crate. I walk great on a leash and I love car rides.

For fun, my favorite thing to do is to just be outside in my yard. I love just laying in the grass and smelling all the smells. That is why it is a must for me to have fenced in yard. When I'm inside, you will usually find me either snuggled up in one of our pet beds or getting a belly rub. Belly rubs are the best, and my foster dad knows how to give them. My foster mom thinks I'm cute and loves my little raspy voice. We talk all the time.

If you think we make a good fit, just fill out an application my fee is only $300 for a lifetime of love.

Love, Izzy
