Maggie is Adopted
Maggie is currently fostered in West Farmington OH, and her adoption fee/donation is $250
Maggie is a tiny little 3 yr old blonde female cocker that came to us as an owner surrender due to her not being good with children.
Maggie has been with us for a few months now, and is a very sweet and happy little cocker girl.
She is fun loving, spunky, and good with other dogs after she has met them properly and is comfortable with them.
One issue Maggie does have is some trust issues, generally when it comes to strangers coming into the home.
She takes some time to warm up to and can not be approached and petted immediately after meeting her.
She has bitten when put in this situation, and does need proper introductions when it comes to new comers to her home.
We have also found that she does much much better when in a "pack" with other dogs, at least one or two others in the home.
Being an only dog is not in her best interest.
When she is an only dog, she especially feels uneasy with strangers, she actually is more confident, and less fearful in the presence of other dogs.
For this reason, we are looking to place her in a multi dog home, one that is experienced with cockers that have fear/trust issues.
She has proven to do very well in the right home.
Maggie is young and trainable, and with the correct guidance and handling, we believe she will do just fine.
She is house trained, however needs consistently taken outside to be sure she does her business before coming back inside.
Maggie is already spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative/current on prevention.
