My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***COURTESY POST** Sam's owner cannot keep him and asked for our help finding him the right home. He is living with his owner until the right home is found. Here is what she says about Sam:

Samwise is a handsome 10 month old English Shepherd. He is UKC registered. He weighs about 35 lbs. and has a couch-potato type, gentle personality. Sam knows his basic obedience, has been introduced to agility, and has good house manners. He is well mannered in a crate, loose in the house, and usually doesn't break any rules. Sam is good with other dogs,
cats, and horses, and leaves chickens alone. He knows how to pull a cart or wagon. He will carry a pack on hikes. He doesn't care for swimming. He respects fences and baby gates. He rides well in the car. Sam is not an outgoing dog. He needs continued socialization and will need a home that understands that he is scared of strangers (including people who come to my home). He is a pet not a working dog. He would prefer to sleep in the house all day, go for a nice walk, get some treats, and do some obedience. With some practice he might could do Rally-O. He doesn't herd, and doesn't have much ambition. This has been a very difficult decision, he is sooo handsome and really a good dog. I honestly think he would fit in better though in a less
rowdy home that can give him lots of time and attention, with no small children (they scare him). He will make a fanstatic buddy and pet for someone. I am located in Columbia SC. You would need to come here to meet him, and his breeder is helping me screen homes. Sam is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and flea and heartworm prevention. He is well behaved for grooming and baths.
