Facts about Blanca

  • Breed: Basenji/Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Blanca was a senior dog, overlooked at a very high kill animal shelter in Orange County, CA. Her time was up! Although Blanca greeted everyone she met nicely and happily at her kennel, no one wanted to give Blanca a chance, could it be her age? Well we thought Blanca was worthy of saving, and who needed love and deserved a chance. After everyone else passed her by, other rescues didn't want her, instead on their way to the fluffy puppies to "rescue", Blanca sat there, although she tried her hardest get attention, it wasn't happening. Well WE noticed Blanca, our volunteer offered to foster this beautiful and deserving mature lady. Soon we had her, but Blanca had a tumor, had severe gingivitis, and bilateral eye infections. We are happy to say, we've got Blanca fixed up and GOOD AS NEW! Blanca's abdominal tumor is ADIOS and even better- pathology was BENIGN! Her eyes are healed up! and we even got her a dental cleaning while her abdominal surgery was being done! She's healthy, well adjusted and happy girl! She loves everyone, mellow, but can jump in and play with other dogs nicely! She is house trained, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to be a best friend to that special person who loves mature dogs! If interested in meeting Blanca, please complete and application
