YOSHI came into rescue when his family could no longer care for him. He is 6 years old and 12 pounds of sweetness. YOSHI is Shih Tzu and Maltese mix. He is a people pup and loves to be near you or on your lap whenever possible. He is especially happy if someone will rub his belly. If allowed, he would like to sleep in bed with you, or he is also content in his bed near yours. He is learning to play with toys and especially loves pull toys and playing fetch. He “talks” when he plays by making growling noises; he’s not being threatening, it’s just his way of communicating when he’s playing. YOSHI does enjoy being outdoors and walks well on leash. He gets along with other dogs but would do fine as an only dog. He is working on his housetraining and doing fairly well. His new family will have to continue working with him so that he will become completely housetrained. He would do best in a home where someone is home for at least part of the day or could come home during the day to help him with his housetraining. He has lived with children in his previous family, so a home with older, respectful children would be okay.
Yoshi is healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations, is microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. His adoption fee is $270.00 plus $19.64 sales tax for a total of $289.64.
His foster parents would like his furever home to be within 100 miles of the Twin Cities and encourage his new family to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion every year.
