ABOUT ME: Hi new friends! My name is Sophia and my friends call me Soph, Sophie, Sophia, but really I will come to any friendly voice! I am about 3 years old and I weigh in at a whopping 82 pounds! I am one solid girl. I am also short so while it says I am a rotweiler, old english bulldog mix, I am definitely a GOOD OL FASHION HEINZ 57 MIX. I have furry ears and some longer fur on other parts of my body so there is definitely some other things mixed in there probably some collie? My head and girth are definitely that of a big beautiful rot, but my legs are way too short to be a rot so I have everyone guessing! Something they do not need to guess about is my personality and temperment...it is WONDERFUL! My former owner had a baby and I was AMAZING WITH HER. I would give her kisses, I was gentle with her, and I even would ride in the backseat of the car with her next to her car seat to keep her company. Everyone thinks it is so funny that I am gentle with kids because I LOVE to play with other dogs and romp around and chase etc so it is surprising to some to see how gentle I am with the baby because I LOVE to mix it up and play like a big dog in the yard. If you do not have another dog to play with, that is just fine because I would be perfectly content getting my exercise by playing with kids or walking with you. My former mom used to take me on 5ks so if you are looking for a 5k, 10k buddy then I am used to have my harness put on and doing all of that too! There are so many options where I would fit in the folks in rescue said I could fit in just about anywhere! Now, as for my behavior, I have been great in the house and have not been destructive. I have not been pottying in the house either other than 1 or 2 little accidents while getting adjusted after my spay surgery. As for cats, heck I even was with cats in my old home and I didn't pay much attention to them at all! Riding in the car, well I am a wonderful traveler so if you would like to take me places that is something I would rather enjoy too! Walking on a leash I do best with a harness because I have a lust for life and for meeting new friends and at first I get pretty excited and I pull. I do stop after a bit, but if you put a harness on me right from the beginning I do GREAT! I do have some dry flaky skin and they are currently getting my coat back in tip top shape. I have no aggression at all....not with food, toys, humans NOTHING. If you are looking for a younger dog who will fit in anywhere as long as you have the time to give me some exercise daily (hey we can all use some of that) then I think that you should hurry up and complete the application to adopt me at the website they keep giving you because dogs like me who are big, beautiful, and get along with everything and everyone are not easy to come by so if you snooze you will likely lose.
