My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jason Lee is still in New Orleans with Looziana Basset Rescue but can be easily transported up to the Northeast using Rescue Road Trips. Our adoption fee is $250 and the fee to transport to the Northeast is $185. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption. We require that our dogs be on monthly year round heartworm prevention. Jason Lee would probably do better either as an only dog or with a bigger dog as a companion.

Jason Lee is an adorable little Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix that is eager to have a home of his own. He is originally from a shelter in Beauregard Parish. He is heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is very small, only about 23 lbs. He was shy when he came into rescue but is far more outgoing now. He loves to go for walks, ride in the car and run and play. Please email QueenB534@aol.com for more information.

Jason Lee can be shy at first, but once he warms up to you he is extremely loyal and affectionate. He loves to snuggle and give kisses. He also knows his name and comes when you call him, and he knows how to "sit" (for a treat). He is also crate-trained, walks well on a leash and rides calmly in the car. He can be choosy about his playmates but gets along with most dogs. And he does not bark often, but when he does he has a nice deep, intimidating bark (great for security).
