My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Patch is a sweet social 1 year old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog. Patch is a purebred and is a moderate energy dog and very eager to please.

Unfortunately the other dog in his home continued to attack Patch as he grew up, so his owners reluctantly decided to give him up for adoption. Patch has shown that he can get along well with other dogs here in his foster home and has been playing with puppies as well as full grown male and female dogs.

He loves to be with his people and grew up in a home with children. Patch will pick up a ball and eagerly play keep away with the other dogs or offer the ball to the nearest person to throw for him. He did not have much obedience training or leash walking skills when he came into rescue, but he is a very quick learner and is doing sit, wait/stay, and down. He is walking on the town green with other dogs very amicably and has not shown an interest in chasing joggers or bicyclists (this is really good for a herding dog!).

This smart boy would love nothing better than a family to call his own. He is house trained, loves to ride in the car and eager to start his new life.
Patch is heartworm negative, has been on prevention, up to date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention.
