My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ROSIE is available for adoption. This is a tiny, red Toy Poodle who is just 2 years old (06/2013), around 8" tall and 4.5 pounds. VERY TINY!

She is a little peanut who has been carried around or confined (kenneled) most all of her life because her rear leg was deformed.

Now she is just a cute house dog that likes to be held, play with toys (sometimes), sits in a lap, barks when someone comes and then hides.

Rosie enjoys just being with our other little Poodles. This is giving her confidence to learn about living in our home. She doesn't play with the other Poodles, but likes to be with them.

Yes, she is shy at first. However, once she learns that you mean her no harm, she will let you pick her up so you can cuddle and love her.

It would be nice if Rosie was adopted by a family with another small, quiet Poodle who would enjoy a friend. But Rosie will be fine by herself IF you are willing to work with her.

*************************************************************************************************

From Rosie's Foster Mom:

Rosie can really run like the devil is chasing her. I had a hard time catching her in the upper level of my house. She is like a 6 month old puppy.

Rosie is a very smart girl. She wasn't afraid, but just playing with me. I was worried about her leg, so we played in the man cave inside, and went potty in the play pen outside.

She would of been jumping off the sofa, but I always holding on to her. When I said "sit", she would stop and sit down.

My suggestions:
Fenced in yard
She needs attention.

This little girl is very young and with time, patience and love, she will become a wonderful Toy Poodle.

Rosie comes to us from a Northern Mn Breeder who found that this Poodle had developed a problem with her right rear leg and could no longer use her for breeding.

An X-ray showed that Rosie has a luxating patella in her right rear leg. Her left rear leg patella is lose, but NO surgery was required or done.

Rosie's surgery on her right leg only was done August 5th by the same Vet who fixed "Sparkle's" broken leg: Veterinary Surgical Specialists

Understand that this was an expensive surgery ($1,100.00 with our discount), but it was required for Rosie to use that leg and walk like a normal dog and was done by one of the BEST Vet's in Minnesota.

The surgery went fine. Rosie had laser treatments and physical therapy to help the healing processes. There were no problems and she will be JUST LIKE A NORMAL, LITTLE TOY POODLE! Really!

Just don't expect this little peanut to go for marathon walks. Also, no young children, large or aggressive dogs.

Please keep in mind that her surgery comes with a lifetime warranty! If there are any future problems, which is rare, Rosie can return to Veterinary Surgical Specialists and they will fix the problem for no charge.

Rosie's $350.00 adoption fee (plus $25.00 Minnesota State Sales Tax) helps pay for just some of her extensive and expensive Veterinarian work.

She has been spayed, her teeth cleaned, heart-worm tested negative and Home Again micro-chipped registered. Also included is her kennel, a blanket, a dog bed, a bag of quality dog food, treats, leash, collar and lots of information to help your adoption start on the right paw forward.

WE DO REQUIRE AN "Application For Adoption" if you are interested in Rosie or any of our Poodles. Please contact us for an application, or visit our web site for more information.
