Maddie's Story...
Meet Miss Maddie. Maddie is a beautiful eight year old golden girl. She's settling in well with her foster family. It's a busy household and she's still adjusting to the quick movements of everyone around her but all in all she's doing just fine. She gets along with the other dogs in the house and with the two young children. She's happy to welcome guests into the home also.

Maddie enjoyed bath time when she arrived and tolerated her foster mom tugging, pulling and cutting her matted fur. Maddie does well on leash and has been fine with free roam in the house for short periods of time. Like most goldens counter surfing is a pastime so here's your chance to clear those counter tops of unnecessary items.

Maddie loves to play with her human foster family and with her foster siblings. She also really enjoys napping in the sunshine. She not very vocal, only barking when the other dogs bark. Maddie sleeps through the night on a blanket on the floor next to her foster mom.

Maddie can be slightly food aggressive so she will probably do best in a home without other dogs however her foster family feeds all dogs in their own crates and they've had no issues with food aggression while using this technique.

Please take a look at www.goldenretrieverfreedom.org for updates. Please review the adoption requirements before submitting an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Denver Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
