Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: April
Cat feuendly: Yes
Dog friendly: Yes
Kid Friendly: Yes!
Age: Apprx. 3 (2017)
It's amazing how much a dog can show her happiness after having such a rough start at life. April was saved from Macon-Bibb Animal Welfare from a horrible neglect case. You would never suspect she had any kind of horrific past history after you've met her though- she's a true credit to bouncing back from hard adversity. She would like a forever home filled with love and where she never has to worry when her next meal would be. She's a German Shepherd/Lab mix. Does well with other dogs, cats is unknown and loves human interaction. She is a playful girl that has melted the otherwise stony heart of several other residents at the rescue that don't particular get along with other pups- males that prefer to be macho around other dogs. She is good natured and a chunky muffin that is very huggable! April likes to go for walks and rides well in a car. She is kind to people, including the vet. She loves toys, especially rope toys and squeaky toys that she can tease other dogs with. :) She is a big fan of running hard and then napping just as hard for extended periods of time. She snores a bit, and it's hilarious to listen to. If we had to sort her into a Hogwarts house, we think she'd fit nicely into Ravenclaw- she is intelligent, she is thoughtful, and she uses her brains for good and fun.

We are a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. All dogs coming from Peach County Animal Rescue are spayed/neutered and vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. Each dog is also heartworm tested and treated monthly with heartworm prevention. Our adoption fees range from $175-350+. On average, our fees are $250. Fees are higher for dogs that came to us with additional things like professional training (i.e. service dog, working dog). We look forward to hearing from you!
