My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JERRY is a 4 month old intact black male Lab who weighs 23 pounds. Ben and Jerry are very loving pups with a very sweet personality. They like to play and run around with other dogs and then take naps. They're typical puppies. They will make a wonderful addition to any family. Ben is approved for kids 6 and up. He's young enough that he would be good with cats. Very friendly with dogs. Ben and Jerry were found as strays and nobody claimed them. He is approved for kids 6+.

Update (9/18) Foster Friday: Hi everyone, my name is Jerry and foster mom says I am the cutest puppy EVER! I don't know what that means but since she is always giving me kisses and pets it must be good! I have been with my foster family for 4 weeks now. They keep telling me my forever family is coming, but I'm happy at the moment and don't mind waiting patiently. I have grown so much in the past month, and now weigh 35 lbs! I have also learned so much: I am crate trained, house broken, and can jump on/off the sofa all by myself. If I run fast enough I can even jump on the bed! I love to eat, although foster mom calls me a grazer, and I also walk so nicely on a leash. I have had so much fun playing with my human brother and sister and I especially love my doggie sister Annie. Sure hope my new family has another dog, or two and some kids to play with!! I'm a really good boy and love to snuggle and can't wait to meet my new family. Won't you please adopt me ?

Update (9/7): Jerry is doing great! He had a wonderful time at a temporary fosters home while his foster family was away for the weekend. He had a great time playing with her dogs and playing in the pool. He is such a sweet and happy boy! His new family will be so lucky.

Update (9/4): Look at that face! How can anyone resist this cute, adorable, sweet puppy? This is Jerry! He is about 18 weeks old, and a typical puppy. He loves to chew (as you can see) and does well when redirected. He has done fantastically well with his house breaking. Still working on having him tell us but he has gone to the back door a couple of times, so slow, steady progress. He LOVES to play with our children and our resident dog and he LOVES his crate. He is a bit of a grazer when it comes to eating but is steadily gaining weight and his appetite is increasing. This baby needs a home where he can continue to be loved, with room to romp, and a dog to play with.

Reminders:
Raising a puppy can be very rewarding but also very demanding pursuit. Puppy adopters need to ensure that the puppy:
- Has a potty/social interaction break every three or four hours until 6 months old to ensure house training success.
- Gets plenty of daily play time and walks.
- Has regular interaction with kids, adults and other dogs to ensure positive socialization.
- Puppy adoption fee is $325 and there is a spay/neuter deposit of $50 which is refundable when pup is spayed/neutered.
- Gets the vaccinations in accordance with the Lab Rescue Puppy Protocol and other care as recommended by their vet.
- Goes to a formal training program when the puppy is six months old in addition to in-home training efforts.
- Is neutered as required by six months of age (End of September 2015).

This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has between 50 ~ 80 dogs available for adoption.
