Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Homer, and I am one of the sweetest guys you will ever meet. I don't share too much about my experience before I started living with my foster family, but my family knows that when I arrived I had an embedded collar, was scared of my foster humans, and needed some love. I am a timid, laid back guy with big ears, adorable eyes, and a wagging tail (especially when I get to be outside in the yard or getting some treats!).
My foster humans would say that I'm a really nice guy, although I am rather shy and am happy to have my alone time during the day. Sometimes I get nervous when I am getting attention, but as I get more love I will probably open up to you - it will be worth it!
I also recently learned that I have a significant heart murmur, so I'm not too energetic and my forever home will have to make sure that I am getting appropriate veterinary care for my heart condition. My vet at my foster home said that I might need to take some medicine as I get older and maybe will need to have some tests done to learn more about my heart. I also have trouble walking up and down stairs, so I'd be best in a house with a limited amount of stairs.
I love to be around other dogs, and I am great at getting along with many different puppy and kitty personalities. I am also a good guy to have around kiddos. I'd be best in a home with either an outdoor kennel or limited time in a crate, since I get very nervous and sometimes have accidents while crated (my foster family is working on this with me).
I'm an older dog, but what I lack in youth I quickly make up in my nice demeanor and easy, low key attitude. Everyone I meet falls in love with my sweet, timid personality and my big eyes and floppy ears.
