Born April, 2014
Marcus, his mom and her entire litter came to us from an animal shelter in June of 2014, there were 25 moms and their puppies total. They were one day from being euthanized.
Many of the puppies were extremely ill and suffered from anemia. Marcus and his sister Krystal were not going to survive if our rescue had not scheduled immediate blood transfusions for these two puppies, yet still there was no guarantee. Both Marcus and his sister responded to the overnight emergency procedure, wagging their tails like never before! All the puppies were successfully adopted.
Marcus was returned to our rescue last month; his owner could no longer offer care responsibly. Truly one of the most elegantly handsome dogs, Marcus is a gentle and graceful boy. To watch him as he carefully plays with puppies 1/5 of his size is a sight to behold. Marcus is, however, shy at times. He often doesn't know nor understand what is expected of him. He tries and he cares. With minimal training Marcus stands to be an outrageously marvelous dog. He does bark when excited or wants attention; he does not hump or lift his leg.
A family who can offer love, a yard to run and who dreams of a dog to be proud of is perfect for this uniquely handsome and innocent boy.
