Farrah's Info...

Farrah's Story...
My sisters and brother and I were at the OKC Shelter when PAWS-OK came and rescued us. They put us in a great foster home where we grew up together in a very loving home. I am the "glamour girl" of my litter and will gaze at you with love from my beautifully marked face. At just 4 months old (I was born in April 2015) I am quite the "flirt"! I love boxes, balls, hanging toys and romping with my litter mates. I get along fine with other cats and cat friendly dogs (there were both in my foster home that I played with) and gentle children. I am looking for a great home who will love me forever end ever! If you think you might have the best home for me, please request an application from PAWS-OK or contact my foster mom, Debbie, at (405) 650-1952 - please leave a message if she isn't there!).
All PAWS-OK cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to being made available for adoption. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only).

Some of our cats are available for adoption at the PetSmart on NW Expressway and Rockwell in OKC. Please check our website at pawsok.com and go to the "Adopt" tab to see a list of those currently available in the PetSmart Adoption Center.

The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment. You can request one at: pawsok@sbcglobal.net or pick one up at PetSmart. Thanks for adopting a rescued cat - they make the best pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Farrah, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
