Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Dale. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio! Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a 5-month-old male Jack Russell Terrier. I weigh about 10 pounds.
I'm a really sweet, loving, enthusiastic pup. I'm playful, inquisitive and oh-so-adorable! I get along well with everybody I meet - people and dogs alike! I love making new friends.
Want to hear the story about how I came to live here? I'm going to assume you do, so here it goes...
A young couple bought me from a pet store when I was just 8 weeks old. At first, it was a little strange to be living with people I didn't know, but things were going well. We enjoyed spending time with each other and I loved all the pets I got. I thought that I had a loving family that was going to be around forever to care for me. Obviously, things didn't work out that way, though.
One day, my human mom packed up her stuff and moved back to China, leaving my dad and I in Chicago. I'm not sure why my mom left. No one said anything to me about it. I was really sad to see her go. I missed her a ton!
After mom left, things changed a lot. It seemed like my dad was working all the time and never got a free moment to spend with me. I was crated all day long and at night, too! I've basically spent most of my young life in a crate. I was always so lonely that I would cry and bark constantly. I just wanted someone to pay attention to me. Someone to love me and treat me like I was part of the family again.
It went on like that for awhile, but then we moved to Los Angeles. I had my paws crossed that things would be different in this new home of ours, but to my disappointment, it wasn't! Everything stayed the same. I saw the inside of my crate more than anything else. My dad would often get upset with my barking and complain to his coworkers about me. But it wasn't my fault! I'm a young puppy who needs a lot of exercise and I was bored! What did he expect?!
Thankfully, my dad was able to reach out to CageFree to ask them if they would take me into their rescue. They said yes! I was sad that I would never see my dad again, but that was probably the nicest thing he could have done for me.
Now I spend my days playing with a bunch of other pups while I wait for my forever family to come along and adopt me. As I mentioned before, I'm an energetic young guy and I need a family that will provide a lot of exercise for me and help stimulate my mind. Are you that family?
If you think I would make a great addition to your home, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me!
