Sunny is a very special dog looking for a very special person. Sunny lost his person and is looking for a new (foster)home. He is 14-15 years old and very sweet. He is totally blind and about 80% deaf. He loves physical touch (his coat is so soft!) and is looking for a gentle person who loves the companionship of a soft, gentle, quiet dog.
Sunny desperately wants to bond with that one special person, who can love him for who he is.
The fact that he is still alive after all his life adventures is in itself a miracle. He was found on the country roads in February 2010, roaming in the bitter cold, totally blind. Ended up with his own human for the last 5.5 years, who is now hospitalized and will go into a nursing home where dogs are not allowed.
This dog is very special, and he is looking for a place where he can peacefully and lovingly live out his life.
He loves all people (young and old), sleeps most of the day and just needs short walks in the grass. He likes to just lay at your feet. Sunny is very smart and remembers where his food and water bowls are, gets to know the layout his surroundings pretty quickly. He loves a steady routine and short walks in the grass.
Sunny is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations. Sunny is on heartworm prevention and is heartworm negative. Sunny just had a tooth cleaning procedure, so he has sparkling teeth now and is ready for his new home.
