Shorty's Story...
What inspires a case of the warm fuzzies more than this appealing face? Ears flopped, amber eyes soft, spiky coat of chocolate and cream. Sweet 2½ -year-old Shorty is simply yummy! And at a trim 30 pound, he’s loving and fun loving, too. In fact, Shorty LOVES attention; he’s an equal opportunity love bug. He loves sitting on laps and rolling onto his back for long, leisurely belly rubs, loves playing with other dogs and with children, and loves being his foster home’s official door greeter of visiting guests. Although more of an inside than an outside dog, he does enjoy rides in the car, going for walks (he walks well on a leash), playing chase and racing after a ball, but especially, lying on the grass in the sunshine. He may wander off at times in the yard, but call his name, and he’s back in a flash. A well mannered young mister, Shorty barks only when his furry foster sibs bark, is fully crate and housetrained, and sleeps soundly in his crate all night. Despite having slightly deformed front legs (a congenital condition requiring no surgery), Shorty seems blithely unaware of it, and it neither hinders him nor dampens his high, happy spirits. As a great fan of treats on the hunt for a forever family, offer him a treat and he will faithfully follow you home. Fostered in Huntsville, AL he is available for adoption to your area. Email us at info@forrescue.net for more information about how to adopt.
