Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Lexie was found on the streets of Montgomery County and turned into their shelter. When we took her in, she had a huge hernia and was heartworm positive. She has been waiting a long time to find her very own family. After she had the hernia repair done, she was spayed, micro-chipped and successfully treated for heart worms.
Lexie is a five-year-old girl in a puppy body with a puppy spirit! Give this 12 inch cutie a basket of dog toys and she can entertain herself all by herself. She loves to throw her stuffed toys across the room and chase after them. No one has told her how tiny she is, so at 18 pounds, Lexie has decided she is an alpha female. Lexie would do well as an only dog, but enjoys playing with her foster siblings. Surprising for an alpha female, Lexie bonds well with other females. She loves the doggie door and an interesting back yard to explore.
Lexie would like to have retired or work-from-home humans in her forever home. She LOVES humans and she loves to snuggle with you and will happily fall asleep right across your lap. She is house trained and crate trained (if you are not gone too long!) and sleeps all night (preferably with you)! Her gorgeous eyes are lined in black and once you make eye contact with her, you will be smitten! It’s guaranteed. If you ever wanted a puppy that would not grow up, you have to meet Little Lexie! ADORABLE is her middle name!
