Gretchen's Story...
Meet Gretchen! Gretchen is a smart little dog and she's looking for a furever family of her own! Gretchen is a great dog- she's mellow and easy-going, a real "go with the flow" kind of gal. Gretchen has some silliness in her too: she was having fun hanging out in the Chi Town hall showing off her new dress and when we turned back around the corner, we saw Gretchen standing on the table making sure everyone noticed her lol. Gretchen does great with the other dogs in Chi Town and would love to meet your dog at home. We think Gretchen is just an all-around GREAT girl- friendly, loving and silly. Plus, who can resist that underbite?!

You can meet 2 yr old Gretchen in Chi Town at the MCACC West shelter (2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx Az). Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon-Fri and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat & Sun. Gretchen's adoption fee is $20 and includes Rabies certificate, county license and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretchen, a Phoenix Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
