Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Apply to ADOPT - cut and paste this link into your web browser: www.welcomehomedogrescue.org/adoption/application-to-adopt-a-companion/
Weight: 18 lbs.
Age: 9 months
Personality: playful, good with kids, good with any sizes of dogs and good with cats. Panda loves to sit on laps and is very affectionate.
Coat: Medium length, very soft, non-shedding, will require occasional bath and grooming.
Training: Knows basic obedience including sit, stay, walks on leash well, plays fetch.
Potty trained: Yes, but not quite 100%. She gets excited and pees (submissive urination). Adopter needs to ignore Panda when first coming home until she settles down, to avoid the submissive urination. Puppies usually grow out of this behavior as their self esteem increases. Holds bladder at night in crate, but needs to potty every couple of hours during the day.
Health: She is healthy and up to date with all the vaccinations.
History: She was a stray and rescued at the Downey animal shelter. She was originally rescued by us at 3 months old. Unfortunately the adopter had medical problems and surrendered her back to us on 3-24-16.
Fostered in: Chino Hills
Type of home: She will be good with any type of home, as long as the adopter has time for continuing socialization, providing regular exercise and lots of love and attention. Family with children or single active person is suitable.
Crate trained: Yes (sleeps in crate)
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $300
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
