My story has a sad beginning, but I am hoping for a Happily Ever After!
I was found in a gutter days after being hit by a car. My front right leg had already begun to heal on it's own but with some irreparable damage. I have a permanent limp (my foster mom thinks I look like a bunny when I run across the room) but it does not slow me down, I can get to the top of the cat tower faster than any of my foster kitty siblings!
After a month in the hospital, my foster mom brought me home and I am slowly learning to trust people again. Anytime anyone picked me up at the hospital it was to give me a painful shot or yucky medicine. I learned to associate being touched with getting medicine or a shot. I would growl and hiss anytime my foster mom tried to pet or hug me. With a lot of time and patience she has showed me that not all people are bad. I am still skittish at times, but I have learned that people really do give the best pets. I especially love butt rubs and chin scratches!
I really love cat towers. I prefer the ones that have the cubbies so I can crawl in there and take a good nap, I feel safe when its enclosed. I enjoy playing with my foster kitty siblings and can keep up with them just fine even with my bum leg.
I'm looking for someone who can be patient with me. I have the potential to be a snuggle bug if someone is willing to earn my trust. It will be a slow process in the beginning so I need someone who won't give up on me. I live happily with other kitties and dogs. I don't really know how I am with kids since I'm still a little scared of people. I might get along better with older kids who know what it will take to be friends with me. I really just want love, I'm realizing that I can receive a lot of love from people so I hope there is someone out there who will love me.
