Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dakota is vet guessed to be 2-2.5 years old and we think a treeing walker coonhound mix, with maybe some shepherd in her based on her coloring, coat and ears. She is spayed and undergoing heartworm treatment but can be adopted with a contract to complete the life-saving heartworm course of treatment. She was rescued from a high kill shelter and given a new lease on life with us, but needs a family of her own so our fosters can save more lives! Dakota had a broken leg which was badly infected and she had been shot with birdshot pellets. So sad to see such a great girl abused so badly. She is very mellow and shy at first since she could not trust the humans she previously met. She is fearful of loud noises like many dogs, and loves to play with her foster sisters. She is good with kids too! Leash-trained, house-trained, and crate-trained! Adoption fee is $150. Our adoption process and an application can be found on our website www.carolinahelpingpawsrescue.org
