Ty's Story...
Hello humans! My name is Ty. I am a 5 year old, 64 lb. Golden mix sweet boy. I spent the first 5 years of my life in a pen so I am thrilled to be with AGK and with my amazing foster family. I love all humans, dogs and respect my feline friends. I do have anxiety so require daily medication but as long as I am on that, life is great. I would appreciate a home with a fenced in yard because now that I am free, I want to run free and play. Please consider me to add to your family - xo Ty

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ty, a Knoxville Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
