My story

Meet SOPHIE. Sophie is a 5 pound 8 year old Maltese mix. She was rescued off of the dreaded kill list at our local kill shelter. Sophie was severely neglected. When I picked her up, she couldn't even see because her hair was matted all over. She immediately got a groom and felt much better. Her previous owners never took her to the vet to have anything done like a much needed dental. She ended up having all of her teeth removed (the ones that were left in her mouth). They were in very bad shape and had to be pulled. She also got spayed and had a mammary tumor removed from her belly. She's all fixed up and ready for her forever home with someone that will take care of her and never let her get matted again. She's going to need professional grooming, so make sure that is in your budget. She's the sweetest pooch. She's very laid back and calm. She does well with other dogs but would prefer not to play with them.
