Reiki's Story...
Introducing Reiki! Reiki (ray-key) in Japanese means "spiritually guided life force energy" practiced by reiki masters who lay their hands upon the sick or injured to heal. Some of you may know Reiki by following her journey in healing recently. She is an amazing cat who defied the odds and survived a very severe case of panluekopenia. Reiki is now ready to go to her forever home! She is a small, petite cat who likes to talk to you! Reiki isn't real wild about the resident cat, so she will need a home with no other cats. Dogs are unknown at this time, although a local vet said a visiting dog came near her with no reaction. Reiki loves her humans though, without a doubt. She loves to be petted and doesn't mind being held. Reiki has been microchipped, litter box trained, has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated (age appropriate), de-wormed, and tested negative for FIV/Feluk. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Reiki in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $100. (C&AL)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reiki, a Owatonna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
