Ammo's Story...
Ammo sure is a fun dog here at the shelter with plenty of energy. Ammo was found as a stray on Apple Blossom in Sidney. We guess that Ammo is most likely a Boxer/Lab Mix here at the shelter. He has been well behaved here at the shelter but does have some puppy/young adult energy. He loves to go on walks with the volunteers and is more than happy to socialize with people. He can be a little hesitant around the other dogs though. He is a wonderful dog and waiting for the possibility of finding a forever home. Ammo is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations. If interested in Ammo, please come meet him at the shelter today. The Shelby County Animal Shelter is open Monday-Friday from 9-5 and Saturday from 9-1.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ammo, a Sidney Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
