Charlie's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Charlie's Story...
Charlie is deaf and about 8 years old. He was very sick when rescued but has recovered and has had 3 bad teeth pulled. He was very emaciated when rescued but is starting to put on weight. He is also FIV positive. Because of his deafness, he will need to live indoors for the rest of his life. He is very friendly and absolutely loves men unconditionally. He loves being petted. This is a great cat that needs a kind, caring person. All you male cat lovers out there, how about stepping up and giving this wonderful survivor a good home? He is currently living with other cats but does not initiate fights. He just wants to sit in your lap and be petted, in between his meals!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Ruther Glen American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Ruther Glen, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ruther Glen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ruther Glen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ruther Glen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ruther Glen paves the way for another one to be saved.
