Hello new friends!! My name is Vegas! I’m around 2 years old and I weigh 51.5 lbs.
I was found as a stray running in the East End area of East Liverpool. I had been running for a few days. I guess whoever had me just didn’t want me anymore and just turned me loose on the streets to fend for myself.
Someone couldn’t stand seeing me out on the streets so they took me in and kept a hold of me until the pound could make it down to pick me up.
When I came in to the pound, I was a little bit thin, covered in fleas, I had some sores on my body and fly strike on my ears. It is obvious that whoever owned me did not take good care of me.
I am really a very good boy here at the pound but I just have too much energy for the shelter environment. I think that could be why I haven’t gotten adopted yet… I think they just see my kennel energy and don’t give me a chance. Once I am out of my kennel and I get some playtime in, I am really an excellent boy. I would do best in a new home with a fenced yard where I could play or a family committed to exercising me a couple of times a day.
I get along well with most of the other dogs I have met. I have a friend here named Bianca and we are great playmates!! We love to go up in the play yard together!! We run, play tug-o-war with the rope toys and just love to play in general. If you already have another dog, you should bring them in prior to adopting me just to make sure we get along well.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER SEPTEMBER 5, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
