Foster parents have the first option to adopt. We will provide all you need to foster.
Weight: 57 lb.
Age: 3 yrs old
Personality: Guinness loves to play fetch and he is an excellent swimmer. He is good with any size of dogs and great with kids.
Coat: His fur is soft and short.
Training: He knows "sit" and "wait." He also will bring the ball for you so that he can play fetch.
Potty trained: Yes. He goes outside to do his business.
Health: He is very healthy, with no health issues after a full veterinary examination. He is on a program to lose a few pounds.
History: His previous owner used him as a hunting dog in S. Korea for a few months, and then he dumped him in high kill shelter. Large dogs have an extremely difficult time getting adopted in S. Korea, so we brought him to California to find his American Dream and forever family.
Fostered in: Fullerton
Type of home: He will be good with a single person or any type of family, as long as they are active. Guinness would make a perfect jogging partner. His personality and exercise requirements are similar to a Labrador or a Golden Retriever. He needs a home where he is taken out to exercise daily, but also with an enclosed fenced yard at home.
Crate trained: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $500
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
