Please meet Chopper! This handsome red & white gentleman is 8 years young, and weighs about 47 pounds. He came to us in July as an owner surrender. He is doing very well in his foster home, and is now looking for his furever home.
Chopper is a very friendly and handsome boy. He enjoys being with his people, and loves to be petted. He walks just fine on a leash. Chopper gets along well with his foster dog siblings, and would do great in a home with another dog. He enjoys having a good time and playing! He may be 8 years old, but he acts like a young, energetic bulldog. Chopper does not like cats at all, so kitties in his new home. He did live with children in his previous home, so he does well with kids. Children should be a little older, since Chopper does have energy and likes to play – we don’t want him knocking over any toddlers… sometimes he doesn’t realize his own strength. Chopper does not like being pulled back by the collar, and could nip if you do so.
Overall, Chopper is a very healthy boy who is neutered and up to date on his shots. He does require daily eye medications for dry eye, and will need these for life. He is just fine when getting these meds. Chopper does not require a fence, however he should be leashed when outside. He is house trained and crate trained. Chopper is all around a great dog!
