Alfie is a really, really good dog. He came to us from a shelter as a nursing puppy, eyes barely opening, last January, with his beautiful Lab/Hound Mom and his nine healthy litter mates. Alfie had to be returned to our rescue organization last week due to his owners' inability to care for him. He is light in spirit. He enjoys all other dogs. He was raised with small children. He listens perfectly.
At first he resisted entering his crate when it came time to be fed. Within a few days he not only accepted his crate, but understood and easily entered without any prompting. Exceptional!
He is medium energy, but still needs the necessary exercise and stimulation required of dogs his age. Alfie likely will not exceed 45 lbs.
Quite sweet and extremely gentle, Aflie is a perfect family dog.
There is no reason to feed the same brand of dog food month after month; thus, we practice the rotation diet. We have great respect for our dog and their nutrition. They deserve healthy, long lives.
